School Visit from The Cumin Restaurant

A nice message from our friends at Nottingham City Council regarding their participation in our Host a School Chef programme:

“On 13th November 2018, Shelley Anand (joint owner & chef) from Cumin Restaurant & Wedding Catering business visited Forest Fields Primary School, to share his expertise with our catering team.¬†Nottingham Catering produces Halal dishes, which are distributed to other school kitchens as an additional offer to the main menu. It is key to create tasty and authentic meals and Shelley was kind enough to come to view our processes and give advice and tips, to ensure we offer the best quality possible.

During the visit, Shelley was able to spend one to one time with Tracey our Catering Supervisor, teaching her about the use of additional spices and the foundations of a good curry. On the day, Shelley cooked a Lamb Masala and Chicken Masala, which was served to the pupils and school staff, with positive feedback from all. We received comments from school staff that it tasted like it had come from a restaurant.

Shelley has offered his time again in the future and happy to support Tracey and Nottingham Catering.
