Asked Questions

National School Meals Week is the year-round initiative to get as many pupils in England and Wales to have regular school meals.

Anyone who has an interest in school meals. The first thing to do is register as an Ambassador.

In doing so you are highlighting your support for the school meals industry and all it does to help provide quality school meals at great value to our children – in summary, celebrating all that is great about school lunches.

LACA’s National School Meals Week 2015 reached new heights with awareness significantly boosted by the unprecedented media coverage received across a wide spread of platforms. Launching at the summit of Snowdon on July 1st 2015, NSMW celebrated with two school chefs per day cooking in the House of Commons; serving school meals to Members of the Welsh Assembly, including the First Minister; school chefs visited fine dining establishments across the country, with a number of chefs coming the other way visiting local schools and a number of schools played host to their local MP’s. With themed promotions using NSMW free to download resources, thousands of schools joined in the activities to make it a great celebration of all that is great about school food.

This year National School Meals Week will be held on the 13th to the 17th of November 2017.
